Department store retailer John Lewis has been online for 15 years – which sounds like a long time, until you put it into the context of its 153-year history. The original John Lewis store on London’s famous Oxford Street has been there, in the same – albeit originally smaller – spot since 1864.

The chain now includes 46 stores, 38,000 employees and 350,000 products. Following the launch of its website 15 years ago, John Lewis launched its mobile presence in 2011 with a mobile site and free Wi-Fi in stores.
