Global audio advertising is expected to fall by 15.2% – $5.3bn – this year, according to the latest WARC Data forecasts. This brings the total level of investment into broadcast radio and online audio advertising to $29.5bn, a new low.
This drop of 15.2% is almost double the rate of decline for total advertising spend this year, forecast to be down 8.1% across all media. It also compares to audio advertising's average year-on-year decline of 0.4% between 2013 and 2019.
