The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak caused an increase in gaming activity across Asia Pacific and this appears to have lasted after lockdown conditions were eased, according to data from Comscore.
All 10 markets in the region that were measured saw gaming audiences increase in April 2020 relative to the January baseline. Even in May, when Comscore notes lockdowns were being relaxed, eight of these continued to see growth.
For six of the ten markets, growth in gaming audiences actually accelerated between April and May.
