Recent research from OC&C Strategy Consultants, the management consultancy, identifies six themes that are reshaping the retail environment for the future.

Retail has been profoundly affected by COVID-19 but contemplating a return to normal shouldn’t be on the cards, stresses James George, a partner at OC&C Strategy Consultants, the management consulting firm.

Instead, George pointed towards one corporate chairman’s description of the pandemic as a “Darwinian moment” for the industry – an idea hinting at the deeper opportunity to rethink business models and what is going to be appropriate for the future.
