Nine ways to go viral in Indonesia

Digital audiences in Indonesia are “millennial by default” and marketers should adapt to local consumption habits to go viral in the country.

Guaranteed virality is often dismissed as an oxymoronic, cringe worthy concept. While there is no magical formula for creating the next viral 'hit', there are ways to optimise content for virality right off the bat.

According to Joe Wadakethalakal, CEO of content platform Brilio.net, digital audiences in Indonesia are almost always millennials: "The moment you go online, the majority of people online in Indonesia are millennials — you are talking to millennials," he said at the Mumbrella 360 conference in Singapore.
