Vimeo, the online video platform owned by IAC, faces the challenge of standing out in a category that houses a number of giant competitors.

The online video category is booming, with Amazon, Facebook, Hulu, Netflix, and YouTube among the mammoth service providers vying for consumer eyeballs.

For Vimeo, a digital-video service launched in 2004 and acquired by IAC in 2006, the challenge is to determine how a small player might carve out a niche in marketplace that keeps getting more competitive. And Anjali Sud, who has served as its CEO since July 2017, believes the way to achieve this goal is not through being a copycat, but by finding white spaces.
