How Subway is approaching “distributed commerce”

Subway, the sandwich chain, believes that "distributed commerce" could represent a powerful approach to driving sales in the future.

Carissa Ganelli, Subway's Chief Digital Officer, has an ambitious vision for moving the sandwich chain beyond online and mobile sales.

"We had ecommerce, then m-commerce. Now, [it's] d-commerce: Distributed commerce," she explained to delegates at an event held by MediaLink and the Chief Digital Officer Global Forum during CES 2018 in Las Vegas.
