Lead conversational architect is a very new job title, thanks largely to Amazon. In 2014, the e-commerce giant brought out the first generation of Amazon Echo, a smart speaker enhanced with a new kind of interface. Since 2015, the speaker has been available to non-Prime customers and, though the exact figures are hazy, the device has sold well; this Christmas, the Alexa app – used to set up a new device – took top spot on both Android and iPhone operating systems on Christmas Day. A company press release confirmedthat 2017 had been the technology's "best holiday yet"....
