Young Muslims form a growing market for Asian brands and marketers, according to Harriet Robertson, director of global insight and brand consultancy Flamingo. At a Culture Breakfast talk held in Singapore in March 2015 she explained why.

"There are 1.6 billion Muslims in the world at the moment, and projected to get to 2.2 billion by 2030," she said. "That's a huge increase." And with 62% living in South and Southeast Asia, "that's one reason to take a look at this market as brands and marketers".
