Chris Kempczinski, President and Chief Executive Officer at fast food giant McDonalds, is not sugar-coating the sizeable challenges of 2020 for one of the world’s most recognisable brands.
“Between a once-in-a-century pandemic, a record economic downturn and profound societal challenges, it was the most difficult year McDonald's has seen. While the new year brings new hope, the issues and uncertainty that emerged last year persist,” Kempczinski said on the company’s Q4 2020 earnings call in late January.
