Over two-thirds of consumers in China intend to upgrade to 5G, the highest share across 17 major markets, according to data from mobile industry association GSMA. Around 60% of consumers in South Korea, Argentina and Chile are also planning on upgrading.
In comparison, interest in 5G is far lower in major European markets – just one-fifth of consumers in the UK and Germany intend to upgrade. Japan and the Netherlands also show less interest in the new technology.
