Collecting Patient Satisfaction moment-to-moment using smartwatch technology

Kadence International USA

Background

Measuring patient satisfaction with a medical device or healthcare product such as a contact lens typically requires patients to give feedback via survey questioning a number of days or perhaps even weeks after using the product. These surveys ask patients to recall their satisfaction, symptoms or emotions and as such are highly impacted by post-rationality and memory bias. Utilizing advances in wearable technology, Kadence USA used Apple Watches to capture the moment-to-moment wear experience of two different contact lenses over the course of two weeks.
