We are on the cusp of a new internet era that relies on businesses and individuals to share data if it is to be of value to anyone, a senior Google executive told the Interact 2015 conference held in Berlin in May 2015.

Carlo D'Asaro Biondo, Google's Europe president/strategic relationships, said data was transforming the way things worked not just online but beyond, and not necessarily in the way many online businesses believed.
