Yahoo!, the search engine, raised awareness of the many challenges facing people in post natural-disaster shelters to help people in Japan to be better prepared.

Overview

In disaster-prone Japan, many people prepare food and water for disasters, but there are also diverse problems regarding life and health that individuals face when livingduring life in post-disaster shelters, including decline in health and loss of life. It is important to raise awareness of these issues and offer solutions in disaster-prone Japan.

We developed a platform based on data from past disasters that can indicate proper preparations for each individual,let people know what they need to prepare, and used it to promote changes in awareness and action through digital media, hands-on events, and use in and school classroom...
