Global Ad Trends: Ad Investment 2021/22

This report summarises the latest research from WARC's Data platform, with a focus on advertising investment by market, media, format and product category this year and next. Key findings include:
  • Global advertising spend is expected to rise 12.6% during 2021 as a whole, by when the market will be worth a forecast $665bn. This is an upgrade on the 6.7% rise we had initially forecast, and would result in all of last year’s losses being recouped, contrary to previous expectations.
  • Advertising investment worldwide rose by almost a quarter (23.6%) in Q2 2021, following on from a 12.5% rise during the first three months of this year. In absolute terms, this equates to a $30bn uptick from Q2 2020, which was seen to be the nadir of last year’s...
