Pittsfield: Love Pittsfield

Love Pittsfield had funds invested into it from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to help the city rebuild its post-pandemic economy and its reputation around travel, tourism, and hospitality.

For the better part of a century, General Electric was just about the ONLY thing in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.

It dominated the physical, financial and cultural landscape of the city.

When it left, it took with it thousands of jobs and left a legacy of contamination, plummeting property values, a decimated tax base and a once thriving cultural downtown nearly empty.

Pittsfield rebuilt.

Today, Pittsfield has transformed to a complete urban experience.

Perfectly placed in the heart of the Berkshires, Pittsfield has so much to love – offering a beguiling mix of restaurants, theaters, museums, shops, offices and creative enterprises.
