Bayer, a pharmaceuticals company, launched a new internal communication channel during the Coronavirus pandemic to better support its Brazilian employees and encourage them to look after their physical and mental health.

Everyone was Suddenly Stuck at Home

Bayer has over 6,500 employees in Brazil. At the start of the pandemic, the company determined that every administrative department, representing 70% of its staff, should work from home to protect the health of its employees. Following strict security measures, the production and logistics teams were the only ones that continued to work in 37 onsite locations.

This transformation raised many concerns. Those working in the office were anxious about contracting the disease and then contaminating family members. The 4,000 professionals who unexpectedly began working from home worried about how the crisis would affect...
