Get Your Time Back: How DSB kept commuters loyal during extensive trackwork

DSB, the national Danish state-owned train operator, increased awareness of its upcoming trackwork and encouraged people to still use its network's replacement buses by creating an app that both noted the benefits and acknowledged the inconvenience.

Campaign Purpose

During spring and summer 2018 Banedanmark, the company responsible for maintenance of the Danish railroad tracks, had planned trackwork on the commuter train stretch between the suburb Frederikssund and Valby close to Copenhagen.

The national Danish state-owned train operator, DSB, was therefore looking into a period with a trackwork so extensive that it closed for all train traffic during the four Danish spring holiday weekends AND in a three-month period from June 1st to September 1st.
