Advertising Association/WARC Expenditure Report Q4/FY 2022

This report summaries the latest advertising spend data collected within the AA/WARC expenditure Report.
  • The latest AA/WARC survey data shows that UK ad spend fell by 5.8% in Q4 2022, to a total of £8.6bn.
  • Despite the downturn in the second half of the year, a strong first half (+26.0%) meant that UK ad spend grew 8.8% during 2022 as a whole, to a total of £34.8bn.
  • Among the product categories, services (which includes holidays and travel) recorded the strongest rise in investment in 2022 (+27.8%), followed by industrial (which includes computers and telecoms) which increased spend by 24.1%.
