What Can TV and Online Learn From Each Other?

Television and online are now the number one and number two media in terms of time spent in the US (see Figure 1). That's one of the reasons Fox International Channels is optimistic: over the last few years, we have built one of the largest TV sales organizations outside of the US, and more recently a global ad network specializing in online video.

This gives me the luxury of being able to ask questions to clients, sales people and even traffickers all around the world. Last year, for example, I was talking to a group of media directors in Chile, and asked this rhetorical question: If you were stuck on a desert island, which one medium would you want to have - TV or the Internet?
