Dan Burdett – Chief Marketing Innovation Officer EMEA, eBay
Dan is a FMCG and direct-to-consumer senior leader with marketing, commercial and general management experience from L’Oréal, Unilever, Mars and eBay. He has lived and worked in the US, Asia and Europe, leading large cross-functional teams and small business start-ups. After graduating from university, Dan swapped buildings for beauty and spent six years at L’Oréal UK before moving to Paris to launch L’Oréal Men Expert. In 2003, he joined Unilever on Axe, starting a creative renaissance. He developed 'The Axe Effect' campaign, giving millions of guys the edge in the mating game, led award-winning launches of Axe in Japan and China and delivered seven years of 25% CAGR. In 2013, Dan joined Mars as Snickers' Global Brand VP, leading a three-year $0.5b turnaround. In 2016 'You’re Not You When You’re Hungry' was recognised as the most awarded campaign of all time. Today he’s a Chief Marketing Officer at eBay and sits on the World Federation of Advertisers executive committee, advises tech start-ups and judges for Cannes Lions.
Federica Bowman – Managing Director, Digital, FirmDecisions
Federica joined FirmDecisions in 2015 from parent company Ebiquity where she held positions as international and North America head of digital over a five-and-a-half-year period. She started her digital media career in 2000 working at EHS Brann, and then moved to digital specialist agencies before spending a number of years in the digital ad-network business. Federica was the head of international supply for Advertising.com and subsequently became managing director of Fox Networks in the UK. Having worked extensively with many media and technology platforms, Federica brings valuable insight into the machinations of digital media.
Victoria Buchanan – Executive Creative Director, Tribal Worldwide London
Victoria started her career in digital advertising more than two decades ago. A pioneer in pure digital, she is obsessed with interactive behaviour and passionate about creating work that allows people to experience brands in a more immersive way. Victoria champions diversity to help develop more female creative directors and leaders. She recently won the IPA’s Women of Tomorrow Awards aged 42, stood as a mentor at the 3% conference and regularly mentors for SheSays. Victoria is a multi-award-winning creative director producing work for clients including Volkswagen, O2, Guinness, Fitness First, Harvey Nichols, Hasbro, Philips, Oxfam, Guardian, Unilever and Budweiser.

Christophe Castagnera – Head of Connected Experiences of Creative Agency, Imagination
As Head of Connected Experiences, Christophe works in a strategic role which connects the business, measurement, digital and marketing teams at Imagination. His focus is on creating connected brand experiences across clients including Jaguar Land Rover, Major League Baseball, CRH and Ford. After studies in the UK and France, Christophe started his career at Citroën Automobiles in 1998, working as a Market Analyst. Upon joining Imagination in 2005, Christophe initially worked within a client services role. In 2015 he took on the newly created role of Head of Connected Experience for the Global Automotive team. Following the success of this role and the rapid growth of the strategy, measurement and digital team within Automotive, the role was adopted across the business in 2017 to cover all Imagination clients.
Jem Fawcus – Group CEO & Owner, Firefish
Jem co-founded Firefish in 2000. He has led the business from its qualitative, youth-focused roots to a growing US$17m business with offices in New York, London and Amsterdam and clients such as Unilever, GSK and Pernod Ricard. Before Firefish, Jeremy was director at 2CV, where he transformed qualitative research and paved the way for multidisciplinary approaches. Before that, he was associate director at Hauck Research where he led the company’s push into people, brands, culture and qualitative research. He is an expert in innovation, brand and communication development, from a primarily qualitative and cultural perspective.
Sanjay Gupta – Head of Marketing, Uber India
Sanjay has 18 years of brand-building experience, working across categories like technology, consumer goods and e-commerce. Sanjay is passionate about growth, brands and people. He believes in purpose-driven brand building and delivering brand experiences that reduce the cognitive load of consuming the product or service. In 2015 Sanjay was part of the ‘40 Under 40 Economic Times Hottest Business Leaders’ in India. He is married and has a three-year-old daughter.
Dan Hagmeijer – Head of Brand Experience Design, J. Walter Thompson Group, APAC Innovation and CX Practice Lead
Dan oversees the Experience Design centre of excellence for JWT Group in APAC, focusing on figuring out what people need in order to design products and services that deliver both business and consumer value. His Master’s degree in Design combined with over a decade of experience in positions within user experience, market research and communication fields, allow him to combine classic marketing strategy with contemporary thinking on how to create products and services that people love. Dan and team have helped the world’s most innovative companies innovate, among which DBS Bank, Traveloka and Spotify.
Matt Lawson – Principal Chief Creative Officer, Deloitte Digital APAC
Matt leads the fast-growing creative business at Deloitte, which won its first ever Cannes Lions this year. Prior to Deloitte, Matt was ECD of the highly decorated McCann Melbourne. Matt is currently ranked the fifth top executive creative director in the world and in 2017 he was ranked the number one copywriter in the world (Big Won Report). In 2016, he was named Australian Creative of the Year by AWARD. In 2017, Matt’s work achieved five WARC Awards.
Hannah Mirza – Manager, Apple
Hannah joined Apple in July 2018. Prior to that, she managed MediaCom’s strategic digital partnerships, working with Google, Facebook, Snapchat, Oath and Twitter amongst others, as well as collaborating with venture capitalist firms and accelerator programmes. As part of her work, she is securing pro-bono partnership opportunities for UN Women to support their agenda under the sustainable development goal for Gender Equality. She also leads the development of client innovation programmes. Hannah, who has held seats on Google and IPA industry steering groups, previously worked at Mindshare and Aegis before joining MediaCom.
Barbara Modic – Managing Director, Pristop Media
Barbara has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of integrated communication, media buying, media planning and management. She has worked for the biggest TV station in Slovenia (Pro Plus, as Deputy Marketing Director), an advertiser (Studio Moderna, as Sales Director), and media agencies (OMD, as New Business Development Manager and Managing Director and now Pristop Media, as Managing Director). The projects she has managed have received numerous awards both in Slovenia and abroad. She is a highly active member of the marketing community and has served as a member of the Effie jury in 2008, the president of the Slovenian Advertising Festival in 2014 and the president of Effie Slovenia in 2018.
Justin Reilly – Entrepreneur, Innovator, Strategist and Thought Leader
Justin is passionate about the intersection of product, technology and design. At Verizon Fios, he was responsible for digital product strategy and innovation, five-year customer-centric growth and CX practice maturity. He has a proven track record of building for the next generation of consumers and is squarely focused on a world of AI-first distributed experiences. Prior to Verizon, he was director of strategy and experience at Macquarium, led the strategy and innovation team at Arke Systems and was a partner at Grey Seven Labs. He also co-founded Qstir.com, a comprehensive social marketplace.
Darren Savage – Chief Strategy Officer, Tribal Worldwide London
Darren’s role as Chief Strategy Officer sees him develop, execute and sustain Tribal’s strategic initiatives across the business, which is focused on the ‘end-to-end customer experience’. Darren started his career in advertising as an Account Planner at TBWA over 20 years ago, and has since worked for leading agencies such as BBH, AKQA and R/GA across a large portfolio of clients and internationally renowned brands such as Nike, Nokia, Heineken and Coca-Cola. He has a breadth of experience spanning retail, mobile, automotive and entertainment. Outside of Tribal, Darren is an experienced guest lecturer on brand strategy, having taught at UCL, Oxford Business School and Lancaster University.
Lorenzo Wood – Chief Innovation Officer, Publicis.Sapient
Lorenzo has 26 years’ experience in the agency world leading technology, strategy, insight and product teams. At Publicis Groupe, Lorenzo uses his experience in developing new technologies and understanding their impact to advise senior business leaders, and convince them to adopt bold strategies for growth. He was named Social Innovator of the Year and is a start-up mentor and angel investor. Lorenzo enjoys making impossible things work, and helping others do the same.
