LONDON: Mainardo de Nardis, former global ceo at Mediaedge:cia, has finally whiled away the ten month unexpired term of his contract with the WPP Group-owned media network.
On Monday he was piped aboard as new ceo of Aegis Group's worldwide media interests. He also becomes a member of the parent board and is charged with oversight of the group's Carat, Isobar, Posterscope and Vizeum agency networks.
Given the uncertainty created by Havas chairman Vincente Bollorés thirty per cent holding in Aegis, de Nardis - nobody's fool - will presumably have obtained the necessary assurances from the French corporate raider as to his future with Aegis.
