UK AGENCIES garnered some prime awards at recent US gongfests. Barraclough Hall Woolston Gray’s mail campaign for Thomas Cook Direct Short Breaks gained the prestigious Gold Mailbox at the US DMA’s Echo Awards. Other UK ‘Golds’ went to Craik Jones Watson Mitchell Voelkel (for its Land Rover work - yet again) and Ogilvy One (Royal Mail Morning Post campaign). Evans Hunt Scott Eurocom and GGT Direct landed silver medals, respectively for Tesco Clubcard and National Savings Premium Bonds. In Chicago, PROMO Magazine’s World PRO Awards of Excellence ceremony handed the alcoholic beverage accolade to The Marketing Store for its Bass Carling Get Your Kit Off promo while Clarke Hooper Consulting won the food category with its Music for Schools promotion on behalf of Jacob’s Club biscuits.
