LONDON: The UK's biggest online social network, Bebo, has inked an exclusive multi-year deal with Yahoo! whereby the mighty US portal will sell a majority of the site's display advertising.

Bebo's 18 million users across the UK, Ireland and the US have a slightly younger profile than visitors to similar sites, with an average age range of 13 to 24.

Comments Yahoo! Europe MD Tony Coppel: "This demographic is highly sought after because they are trendsetters around consumer products especially, and other categories."

Joanna Shields, president of Bebo's international operations, said: "Yahoo has by far the best display inventory and the best partnerships. We knew they could serve our demographic best in the UK."
