WWAV Rapp Collins, incumbent on One2One’s £8 million UK direct marketing account, may not be invited to repitch for the business in a review called by the mobile network’s new German owner, Deutsche Telekom.

The agency is saying nothing save that it is aware of the situation and Margaret Burke, general manager of brand development at One2One, also declined to comment on the review. However, three other shops confirmed they had been invited to pitch by the client.

The brand advertising via Bartle Bogle Hegarty is not under threat and the successful direct marketing agency will be briefed to develop a direct strategy to support BBH’s work.

Word on the grapevine is that One2One will be rebranded as T-Mobile in line with Deutsche Telekom’s main European mobile service. It is currently number four in a field of four UK national mobile networks.
