LONDON - Howard Paster, a former advisor to US ex-President Bill Clinton has stepped down from the board of WPP Group.

Paster (61), who heads the advertising holding giant's public relations and public affairs units - Hill & Knowlton, Burson-Marsteller and Ogilvy Public Relations - says he wants to stop working full time at the end of this year.

Until then he will continue at the helm of the PR group, although no longer a main board member.
