A regional creative hub intended to “work across all of our multinational clients” has been set-up in the Singapore office of WPP Group’s J Walter Thompson network.

The clientele, which includes Unilever, are all “looking to cluster and share copy in some respect,” claims JWT’s Asia/Pacific chief operating officer Kevin Ramsey.

The Singapore-based creative team, led by executive director Andrew Spurgeon, will work with JWT creatives throughout Southeast Asia as well as other Asian and international markets.

Why Singapore? Because it is home to “the most appropriate talent [with] an advertising market of truly international standards,” according to Ramsey. It also offers “a potpourri of … different cultural backgrounds which means any given brief can get a multicultural perspective”.
