Mobile phone titan Vodafone is one of three firms about to enrol in Nectar, Britain’s biggest loyalty card programme.
Vodafone will join founders J Sainsbury, Debenhams, BP and Barclaycard in the scheme in late spring.
Signing up at the same time are children’s apparel chain Adams and drinks retail group First Quench. The three new members are expected to bring three million fresh customers to Nectar, which currently has over 11m active users.
The scheme’s operator, Loyalty Management UK, also revealed it is talking to other potential partners. It is eager to enlist a utility and a dry cleaning group as well as retailers in the entertainment, DIY, fashion and shoe sectors.
