PARIS: Vivendi has reported a 2.9% rise in sales last year to €20.04 billion ($26.08bn; £13.25bn), while fourth quarter sales climbed 1.2% to €5.54bn. The French media and telecoms conglomerate said video games helped make up for lower sales at its cellphone unit SFR and Universal Music division.

Sales at the video games unit jumped 33% to €326 million, while TV unit Canal Plus also saw its sales rise a more modest 2.9% to €918m.
