Virgin Group, the diverse collection of investments led by British entrepreneur Richard Branson, has named its first company-wide brand marketing director: Ashley Stockwell, managing director of virgin.com.
Stockwell takes responsibility for maintaining the brand’s values in advertising and customer service across all the 200-plus pies in which Virgin has a finger, especially as the group plans further expansion. He will report to brand development and corporate affairs director Will Whitehorn.
Among Stockwell’s specific tasks will be helping the launch of Virgin Mobile in the US and an Australian car hire company.
