LONDON - Viacom Outdoor is likely to retain the £800 million ($1.51bn; €1.17bn) advertising contract for the London Underground.
Transport for London, which runs the Tube network, has named the US-headquartered agency as it "preferred bidder" in its battle with rival JCDecaux to secure the deal.
The current contract - one of the biggest outdoor deals in the world - ends in August. It is thought the new agreement will run for eight years.
