LONDON - Britain's second largest advertiser is poised to award an outsourcing deal worth an estimated £500 million to management consultancy Accenture, The Times of London reports.
Anglo-Dutch group Unilever confirmed Tuesday that Accenture - known as Andersen Consulting prior to the Enron farrago in which it was closely involved - is the frontrunner to win the global contract, which covers back-office functions for Unilever's "human resources, learning and procurement" operations.
It is not known whether the latter function will include agency appointments. The deal is unlikely to be confirmed before mid-March.
