Former Grey Advertising vp for graphic services Joe Panaccione (who chose for professional purposes to be known as Joe Payne) pleaded guilty Monday to two federal court counts of overbilling Grey clients for print services provided by Manhattan graphics supplier Color Wheel.

Panaccione’s alleged partner-in-crime is former Grey colleague Mitch Mosallem, the agency’s one-time director of print who has pleaded not guilty to charges of overbilling and conspiracy to defraud the IRS. Panaccione also pleaded guilty to accepting bribes from John Chessa, an independent printing salesman who has not been indicted.

In all four people have entered guilty pleas in the case, the others being former Color Wheel salesman Gabriel Casas; Howard Marlin, owner/ceo of Caysun Graphics; and the ceo of Darbert Offset, Bertram Cohen.
