US radio ad revenue dropped again in May, the fifth successive monthly decline, said the Radio Advertising Bureau.

National advertising sales tumbled 22% over the month, although local revenues performed less appallingly with a 5% decline. Combined revenue is down 9%.

Over the first five months of the year, total sales were 8% lower than the same period in 2000, with national figures down 21% and local 4%.
