US outdoor ad revenues rose 2.9% to $1.3 billion (€1.1bn; £0.7bn) in the third quarter, according to new figures from the Outdoor Advertising Association of America.
The fastest growth came from the financial sector, which hiked outdoor adspend by 27.8%, followed by insurance and real estate (+26.1%) and automotive (+13.7%). Local services/amusements, the biggest outdoor advertising category, rose 9.4%.
For the first nine months of 2003, outdoor revenues rose 4.7% to $4bn.
