St Louis-headquartered Anheuser-Busch, the world's largest brewer by volume, has renewed its sponsorship of the US Olympic Team through to the 2008 games in Beijing.
The beverage purveyor already rejoices in the honorific of "official beer sponsor" for this summer's games in Athens. That laurel, accompanied by the five-ring Olympic logo, will promote A-B brands through the 2006 winter games in Torino, Italy; the 2008 summer games in China; and the 2005 and 2007 Pan-American Games.
Proclaimed the beer baron: "Anheuser-Busch has been a proud sponsor of the United States Olympic Committee since 1984, and we're thrilled to continue supporting America's best athletes in their pursuit of winning a gold medal."
No-one mentioned anything as vulgar as money.
