The Publishers Information Bureau in New York reported Thursday that America's magazine industry maintained recovery mode in November, recording its seventh consecutive month of advertising growth.
Year-on-year, advertising pages rose 3.8% during the month, following on from 8.4% in October and 8.5% in September. Averaged over the eleven months to November, growth was 3.1%.
By category, the biggest contributor to collective November revenues was automotive, rising 27.3%. At the other end of the scale, technology ad pages dived 12.1%. Overall, however, ad pages were up in seven of the twelve major categories.
