DURHAM, NEW HAMPSHIRE - Nearly 70% of all US households are now online, with 60% of those homes connected via broadband, according to a new report from Leichtman Research Group.

Cable remains the most common source for residential broadband, driven by its strength among higher-income households.

Comments Bruce Leichtman, president and principal analyst of the company: "By the end of the year 2010, there will be over 105 million residential subscribers in the US,with over 80% subscribing to broadband."
