LONDON - The UK newspaper group Daily Mail & General Trust has scrapped plans to sell off its regional arm Northcliffe with its 150 titles, saying the offers it received were not good enough.
DMGT reports it had three bids for the business, which analysts valued at around £1.5 billion ($2.61bn; €2.19bn), but insists "the offers did not fully reflect the long-term value". Among the interested parties was reported to be giant US publisher Gannett.
