SLOUGH, UK - Cellphone operator O2 has announced its intention to offer broadband internet access to its customers before the end of the year.
The company, owned since February by Spanish giant Telefonica, will offer bundled services made up of fast internet access and cellphone calls.
It is considering a number of options to enable its move into broadband, including local loop unbundling or buying an ISP. Alternatively, it could lease broadband capacity.
