The Institute of Practitioners in Advertising - the official body representing British advertising, media and marketing communications agencies - has been awarded 'One Star Status' by workplace engagement specialist Best Companies, an organisation that measures and acknowledges corporate excellence in the workplace.

A Best Companies Index score is awarded to each organisation that completes the accreditation process, the score defining whether an applicant has achieved 'Star Status'. One Star is acknowledged as 'First Class', Two Stars as 'Outstanding' and Three Stars as 'Extraordinary'.

The awards ceremony took place at an Accreditors' Lunch in London. To date 250 UK organisations have been accredited.

Says IPA director general Hamish Pringle: "I am naturally delighted that the IPA has been awarded this standard of excellence, especially as it is based on the attitudes of our employees."
