Having recently merged with First Union, banking group Wachovia is meeting with two agencies as it seeks a lead ad shop.

Wachovia's pre-merger incumbent Mullen/LHC in Wenham, Massachusetts is one half of the duo, the other being former First Union agency Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco.

Billings were not disclosed, but from January to September last year First Union and Wachovia spent $66 million between them. A decision is due mid-March.
