The review of the $80–$100 million worldwide creative account for sports firm Adidas has reportedly come down to two pairs of agencies.

Squaring up in the final round are two roster shops – London’s Leagas Delaney and 180 in Amsterdam. Both shops have teamed with a global network to further their cause: Leagas with DDB Worldwide; 180 with TBWA Worldwide.

DDB offices involved in the review are said to include Paris and Chicago (where US creative boss Bob Scarpelli is based). Working closely with 180, say sources, is TBWA/Chiat/Day in Playa del Rey, California, home of the network’s global creative chief Lee Clow. Omnicom Group stands to win either way, owning both DDB and TBWA.

Among those falling by the wayside in the agency search are Young & Rubicam, Leo Burnett, McCann-Erickson and Lowe Lintas & Partners. Global media duties are handled by Carat.
