BENTONVILLE, Arkansas: Two senior executives this week fled the high-speed freeway of the planet's largest - and some say, most ruthless - shopkeeper.
The Wal-Mart refugees are Julie Roehm, svp, marketing communications and Sean Womack, vp, communications architecture [whatever that means].
Roehm joined the retailer only in February, and led the recent agency review that resulted in the appointment of DraftFCB and Carat respectively as creative and media-buying incumbents on Wal-Mart's $570 million (€427.7m; £288.7m) advertising business.
The company declined comment, save to confirm the departures.
