Boston’s Arnold Worldwide, part of Havas Advertising, has purchased Simmons Durham in St Louis for an undisclosed price.

Simmons Durham – whose clients include Jack Daniel’s whiskey and whose estimated billings total $71 million – becomes Arnold’s St Louis office. Ted Simmons and Les Diveley retain their respective posts as chairman and president.

Meanwhile, Arnold’s Havas stablemate the Media Planning Group has also expanded by establishing Media Planning Diversity, a division devoted to media duties for multicultural campaigns. Clients include Volkswagen and WorldCom.
