TOKYO: Japanese car buyers who opt for certain Toyota Motor marques are being offered ¥60,000 ($564; €355; £282) each if they allow the automaker to emblazon their new purchase with advertisements for ninety days.

The incentive is offered to younger drivers, who are apparently falling by the wayside when it comes to car buying.

The ads, on 65 cars across three models, will promote an online video delivery service and a television channel.
