CAGLIARI, Italy: European internet service provider Tiscali says it expects to boost its annual sales by around 20% in the coming years, rising to more than €1.4 billion ($1.75bn; £945m) by 2010, as it focuses on its core Italian and UK markets.

The telco/ISP has more than three million customers in Italy and the UK, of whom 1.6m are broadband users.

Under a new corporate strategy unveiled by ceo Tommaso Pompei, Tiscali also expects to post a net profit and be cash flow positive in 2008. In 2005, it posted a €12.9m net loss.
