Three in Playoff for Marconi $50m Account

The final shortlist of agencies vying for Pittsburgh-headquartered Marconi Communications’ $50 million advertising account has slimmed to three shops – all with New York and London bases.

David Ganz, vp-global marketing for the telecoms infrastructure giant, has named the surviving trio as Bates Worldwide, Grey Worldwide and Young & Rubicam. Chicago-based incumbent Athron Clark & Partners is out of the frame.
