WPP-owned media buying network The Media Edge is appointing Charles Courtier, its European chief, to the position of ceo.
Courtier will move from London to New York this summer and take over the chief executive duties from chairman/ceo Beth Gordon, who will focus on the network’s strategy in her slimmed-down post of chairman.
The new ceo seems to be a replacement for Paul Woolmington, the vice-chairman and chief strategic officer who left the network suddenly in January [WAMN: 12-Jan-01].
Replacing Courtier as ceo for Europe, the Middle East and Africa will be Hans Germeraad, managing director at web specialist IMP Interactive Marketing Partner.
