CHESHUNT, HERTFORDSHIRE - Dominant UK supermarket chain Tesco, which last week announced its intention to launch its highly successful convenience store format on the US west coast, has named marketing director Tim Mason (48), to run the stateside business.
    Mason, who joined Tesco in March 1982 was appointed to its board in 1995. He is currently chairman of the group's ultra-profitable online business and also a non-executive director of the UK's largest radio company GCap Media.
